Dr. Xing Wu, BMSc., DDS
Dr. Xing Wu is a 2010 graduate of the University of Alberta’s Dental School. Being in the honours program in pharmacology, Dr. Wu decided that dentistry would be a great place to apply that knowledge. She enjoys providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages and has a special place in her heart for children.
Dr. Wu is an active member of the Edmonton Dental District Society and Multidisciplinary Study Club. Dr. Wu believes that staying current is important to providing optimal care. She enjoys dentistry due to the diversity of care she can provide, from fillings, root canals, to extractions. Her special interests are giving patients their beautiful smiles through crowns, veneers, and aligners.
Dr. Wu was raised and has lived in north Edmonton since she was a child. After getting married, she formed new roots in West Edmonton. She has been part of the West Edmonton community for over a decade. When Dr. Wu is not working, she spends her time with her husband and two young daughters. Her other hobbies include vegetable gardening, winemaking, and travelling. Dr. Wu is also fluent in Cantonese. She is excited to meet you and your family at Portrait Dental
Esperanza (Esper), RDH
Esper is a Registered Dental Hygienist who began her dental career as a Dental Assistant before pursuing her passion for dental hygiene. She graduated with High Honours in both Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene, earning her Dental Hygiene diploma from the Canadian National Institute of Health (CNIH) in Ottawa in 2024.
With experience in orthodontics, periodontics, and general dentistry, Esper is dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy smiles through education, prevention, and personalized care while creating a comfortable and positive dental experience. Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring nature, and camping.
Sandra, Administrator
I began my career in dental administration in 2018 and have enjoyed helping patients ever since. I joined Portrait Dental in 2024 and love being part of a team that makes patient care a priority.
You'll often find me at the front desk greeting patients, answering questions, and helping make each visit a positive experience. I enjoy getting to know our patients and believe a friendly conversation can go a long way in helping people feel comfortable and welcomed.
Patimat, RDA
Pati is a Registered Dental Assistant with nearly 2 decades of dental assisting experience. She has assisted Dr. Wu for over a decade. Her top priorities are making her patients comfortable and providing meticulous care.
Pati is fluent in Russian. During her spare time, Pati likes short trips with the family, making memories, and enjoying cozy gatherings with friends. Pati is always eager to make you feel like you are part of our dental family.
Isabella, RDA
Isabella is a dedicated Registered Dental Assistant with a strong passion for patient care and oral health education. She takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment where every patient feels comfortable, informed, and confident in their dental care journey.
With a natural focus on exceptional customer service, Isabella builds genuine connections that help patients feel at ease throughout their visits.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling and exploring new places whenever she can. She is also an avid hockey fan and loves catching a good game whenever possible. Above all, she cherishes spending time with her family.
